You may already have heard that we Swabians have our hearts in the right place. Hospitality, tradition and regionality are our major priorities. We love being hosts, and always look forward to getting to know new people. We also love to welcome back all the old faces who have come returned faithfully to us over the years. From the bottom of our hearts we would like to say “Thank you”.
It was a love of regional and seasonal food, plus an appreciation of and connection to agriculture, which encouraged Klaus Winter to retrain as a chef after 28 years working as locksmith. His wife Margit was just as much to blame. Having been brought up in her parents’ inn, she had all the qualifications needed to become a great hostess.
Shortly afterwards, the couple took over her parents’ business, bringing their two children, Marc and Anja, with them.
2016 was to bring a new challenge. The couple took over the Winter Restaurant & Country Hotel in Offenhausen (formerly the Gulewitsch Country Hotel). It soon became clear that such a business can only succeed if the whole family pitches in. After working for a few years in prestigious establishments and further education, Marc and Anja joined the country hotel too.
We – the Winter family – and all our staff do our best every day to grow with the new challenges that constantly face us.
